The Bradford District will host a series of fireworks displays this weekend as Bonfire Night approaches.

Friday, November 1

Addingham Cricket Club will open its gates and its bar from 6.30pm on Friday 1 November for their annual display. Tickets are £6 for adults and £3 for children and can be bought on the day.

Saturday, November 2

On Saturday 2 November, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service will host its annual charity bonfire and fireworks display at the Fire Service Headquarters in Birkenshaw, which runs from 5pm to 9.30pm.

The bonfire will be lit at 7pm and there will be a sensory friendly session, where noise and music will be minimal, which may be suitable for those who have an autism spectrum condition and for young children. The sensory friendly session will end with a low noise firework display at 7.30pm, before the main firework display begins at 8.15pm.

Admission for adults is £8, while for children (16 years and under) it is £5. Under 5s will have free entry.

There will also be funfair rides and refreshments, with all proceeds going to The Fire Fighters Charity.

Control Room Crew Manager Sarah Goodall said, "Every year more families join us for a safe and enjoyable celebration. With the introduction of the sensory friendly half hour this year we hope that those within our community who usually find bonfires overwhelming can come along and have a fantastic time."

Wilsden Cricket Club and Sandy Lane Junior Football Club will have a bonfire and fireworks display on Saturday, November 2, with all proceeds going to the community clubs involved.

Sweet treats and refreshments are available at the licensed bar, with the gates opening at 6pm ahead of the bonfire being lit around 6.30pm. Fireworks start at 7.30pm and finish at 8pm.

Sunday, November 3

On Sunday, November 3, Bingley’s Mercure Bradford Bankfield Hotel will open its gates at 5pm with the bonfire being lit at 7pm, before the fireworks begin at 8pm. Under 3s will have free entry, while tickets for children aged 3-12 are £4.43 and for adults are £6.98 - they can be bought online at eventbrite.co.uk.

Refreshments from the bar will be available, while a house DJ and live concert band will be in attendance.

On-site parking is £2 per car, although limited spaces are available and will operate on a first come first served basis. All funds raised will go to Mercure’s Hotel Group charity of the year, Rays of Sunshine.

Tuesday, November 5

Bradford's Peel Park will host their annual fireworks display on Tuesday, November 5, with the gates opening at 5pm.

The first of two fireworks displays starts at 6.30pm with a ten minute show aimed specifically at younger visitors, while the grand finale is a twenty minute display at 8.30pm.

The event is complete with fun fair rides and refreshments. The admission charge is £3.99, while children under 1 metre tall will enter for free.

On Tuesday, November 5, Bowling Park Allotments will host "A safe and organised bonfire along with a fireworks display", as described on Skiddle.com, where advanced tickets can be purchased at £2 for adults, £1 for children and £5 for a family ticket. The minimum age for attendance is 5 years old.
