THERE were ghosties and ghoulies and long-leggedy beasties aplenty at Bradford Industrial Museum this weekend as the Eccleshill attraction laid on its annual ghost hunt in the run up to Halloween.

Around 450 adults and children enjoyed two days of the ‘Ghosts in the Machines’ event which included an interactive white board ghost treasure trail where youngsters could follow spooky clues.

Museum assistant Tracey Stewart said the weekend had been a great success.

“It was really good and everyone loved it as much as we did. The parents were able to enjoy looking around the museum’s heritage exhibits while the children were able to go around looking for clues.

“We also had a zombie rat trail where the children could hunt out rat skeletons.

“Even though Saturday’s weather was awful we were surprisingly busy and had almost as many through the doors on Sunday when it was a lovely sunny day.”

The event was free and is just one of many themed events the museum, situated in Moorside Road, puts on throughout the year.

The event runs until Sunday November 3.
