Just two food shops in Bradford currently have the worst-possible zero rating for hygiene, latest figures reveal.
They are the Euro Mix off-licence, on Haworth Road, BD9, and Hassans Takeaway on Manchester Road, BD5.
The revelation is a marked improvement on earlier this year, when six premises had the dubious honour of being zero rated.
Almost 4,000 premises across Bradford are rated by the Food Standards Agency, based on the findings of council inspectors who work all year round.
The lion's share of those - 2,370 premises, or just under 60% of the total - landed the best possible rating of 5.
But 81 have the second-worst rating of 1.
