A GRANDMOTHER who ran nearly 50 miles across 30 peaks will talk about her experiences at Bradford's Golden Years Film Festival. At the age of 68, Sandra Scott took on one of the greatest feats in fell running - the Joss Naylor Challenge, over peaks in the Lake District. The run is 48 miles long, takes in 30 peaks and has over 17,000 feet of ascent.
Sandra went on to do a PHd researching endurance sport and older people.
Bradford City of Film is screening a short film, Beyond the Clouds, about Sandra's achievement at City Hall on Saturday at 3pm.
City of Film director David Wilson said: "This is an incredible story of determination and stamina. The fact that Sandra completed this at 68 is inspirational and makes a great contribution to our Golden Years Film Festival, celebrating active ageing. As this year's theme is storytelling, we also get to hear Sandra’s story at a Q&A after the film."
