TWO Warrington pubs will be giving away free cake to mark the final of Channel 4 show The Great British Bake Off.
Rather than drooling over the contestants' creations, fans can enjoy a free slice by using a special code word at the till.
Farmhouse Inns has launched a bespoke cake ‘fake away’ service, after finding that almost half (47 percent) of the nation’s millennials have tried to pass shop-bought baked goods off as their own homemade masterpieces.
Chapelford Farm and Juniper Farm in Woolston will be offering the free ‘fake away’ service so locals can pick up a free slice of cake baked in-pub.
All you need to do is state the code word ‘fake off’ at the counter to receive their complimentary slice on Tuesday 29 October - ready to enjoy in time to find out who will be crowned ‘Star Baker’ that evening.
