THE Council is revoking a number of parking fines given out to Bradford City fans on Saturday.

Supporters parked on Midland Road, between Thorncliffe Road and Cornwall Road, were issued with parking charge notices (PCN).

This is a new restricted parking zone for blue badge holders and was put in place for the weekend's match against Crawley.

But when fans returned to their cars, they found their windscreens with notices on them.

One individual claimed at least 27 cars were ticketed.

But, discussion between Bradford City and the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council's Planning Transportation & Highways department has led to the PCNs being cancelled.

Wardens will also refrain from issuing tickets along that section of Midland Road when the road closure is in place, in the future.

Bradford City urged: "Only blue badge holders can park on Midland Road, within the road closure, on a matchday. "
