A BEER and music festival went down a treat with visitors to a steam railway.

Crowds were out in force on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway for the four-day event.

The five-mile line was transformed for the extravaganza, which featured live music and a huge range of beers and other tipples.

Organisers were delighted with the success of the event, which ran from Thursday until yesterday.

Phil Oliver, the festival bar manager, said: “It has been a really popular event.

“We’ve had excellent feedback about the choice of beers and the atmosphere.

“It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying themselves.”

Bars were set-up at Oxenhope, Ingrow and Keighley stations – plus there was a real-ale bar aboard the steam services.

More than 160 different beers, from over 60 breweries, were on offer.

The main event sponsor was Kirkstall Brewery.

There was live music at both Oxenhope and Ingrow, from Friday to yesterday, with around 30 bands and solo artists performing.
