A FORMER pumping station in Shipley has sold for more than six times its guide price at a property auction.
Yorkshire Water had listed the vacant building, off Dockfield Road, in the latest auction by Pugh Property, which was held at Leeds United’s grounds on Thursday.
The 0.28 acre site had a guide price of between £5,000 to £10,000.
But at Thursday’s auction the property massively exceeded expectations, selling for £65,000.
The auction listing said the site, which is on the banks of the River Aire and facing a number of business units, “may represent a development opportunity subject to the necessary consents.”
The buyer has not been revealed.
