A HUGE crane was led out of Bradford last night by a special police escort.
The West Yorkshire Roads Policing Unit had a very unique job to undertake at around 7:30pm on Wednesday evening.
A large blue crane, belonging to Cork Crane Hire, based in Widnes, Chesire, needed to get to the motorway from Bradford.
Police had to help for a number of reasons.
The crane needed to navigate several tight junctions.
But more importantly the route involved some bridges that could only just cope with the crane's weight.
This meant police had to make sure the vehicle got over without stopping and with no other traffic.
