PARENTS of Gargrave toddlers from the village’s Caterpillar Club, are busy collecting toys and sweets as gifts to send to some of the poorest children in the world.
The annual Operation Christmas Child appeal run by Samaritan’s Purse, is the largest children’s Christmas project in the world.
Boxes, filled with items either for girls or boys, and in three age groups, from two to four, five to nine and from 10 to 14, should contain a toy, school supplies, hygiene items, such as toothbrush or hairbrush, and other items, such as a hat or sweets. Boxes should be delivered to Poppyfields, Gargrave, by November 18. To find out more, visit the website: samaritans-purse.org.uk
