A DOG grooming business could open in Wyke town centre if plans are approved.
An application has been lodged with Bradford Council to convert an old office on Towngate into the business premises.
Documents say: "The property benefits from its own offroad carpark to the rear.
"The business would create three new jobs for local people.
"There is no other dog grooming salon in Towngate.
"These premises have now been stood empty and unused for over four years."
The application says the site has been up for sale/rent all that time, with no takers.
It's recommended dogs are groomed every six to eight weeks, but a number of factors can impact this, including the length of the animal's coat, its breed and the desired style or cut.
