TICKETS for The Lion King - which is heading to Bradford's Alhambra theatre for seven weeks next year - go on sale tomorrow.

The spectacular Tony and Olivier award-winning musical has been performed in nine languages and, as well as the West End and Broadway, there are currently productions in Germany, Spain, Japan, South Korea and America.

This month is the 20th anniversary of The Lion King in the West End. Disney Theatrical Group’s much-loved musical premiered in October 1999 at the Lyceum Theatre, which remains its London home.

The Telegraph & Argus was invited backstage at the Lyceum, for a fascinating glimpse into how the West End's biggest show is put together. Read today's T&A for our behind-the-scenes report, and see our website on Sunday.
