A MAN has pleaded guilty to causing a death by dangerous driving and will be sentenced at the end of this month.

Jose Blanco-Medina admitted the offence at Bradford Crown Court today after Mark Paul Walker died on Shipley Airedale Road on November 28, 2017.

The 27-year-old, who was listed as living in East Morton, Keighley, when he appeared at magistrates' court last year, was driving a BMW 330D when Mr Walker died on the Shipley Airedale Road at the junction with Barkerend Road.

Mr Walker, who was 37 and from the Bradford area, was struck by the BMW as he crossed the Shipley Airedale Road, at around 11.50pm nearly two years ago.

Blanco-Medina, who runs his own business and is due to get married, spoke only to confirm his name and plead guilty to the offence of death by dangerous driving.

He will be sentenced on Wednesday, October 30.
