A FUND-RAISER for the victims of Pakistan's recent earthquake took place in Bradford on Thursday, October 3.
Cupcake Cravings, a Bradford cake shop, raised money with sweet treats and food at Ingleby Road retail park , alongside other businesses.
On September 24, an earthquake in the Mirpur area lead to 38 deaths and over 700 injuries, according to the latest reports.
Most British-Pakistanis in Bradford descend from the Mirpur area and have family there.
Razwana Kauser, from Heaton and of Mirpuri descent, started Cupcake Cravings as an Instagram business in 2017, before opening its shop in the retail park in April. She said she organised the event to "Get people involved" with her charitable cause.
"Cupcake Cravings has organised this, but it's not our event – it's the community’s. We are still accepting donations until the end of Monday - just pop in to Cupcake Cravings in the retail park."
