PLANS to expand a shop on a busy street have been submitted to Bradford Council.
The application is to change part of 381 Kensington Street, at the junction with Duckworth Lane, from residential to retail.
The plans, submitted by Ifhan Rafiq, include a small rear extension to the building, and say it will allow the business based in the building, Malala Food Store, to expand.

The first floor of the building will remain residential.
If approved, retail space in the building will increase from 21.8 square metres to 72.4 square metres.
The application says: “The scheme makes appropriate use of the site and will provide continuous use which will ensure future maintenance and preservation to the overall site.”
A decision is expected in November.
