WILSDEN Primary School has been recognised for its online safeguarding measures after training staff up in the dangers of the digital world.
Now a Certified School Community 2019, the school was also praised for educating school governors and parents, the creation of weekly e-safety newsletters, ICT sessions with children on how to be responsible and workshops with police. The school followed ideas from National Online Safety, aimed at educating not only school staff but the community.
Head teacher John Davison said: “We should be embracing this new technology and helping children use these platforms positively, helping aid their learning and development instead of fearing these platforms due to security risks."
