THE jury in the trial of two men and a woman accused of attempted murder after a gun was fired at a Bradford house has been sent home until Wednesday.

Twin brothers, Ummar and Khuram Yaqoob, 30, and Kiran Bi Hussain, 24, are said to have intended to kill Hamza Nazir when a shot was discharged in Agar Street, Girlington, shortly after 10.30pm on March 31.

Ummar Yaqoob, of Hill Top Mount, Oakwood, Leeds; Khuram Yaqoob, of Daisy Hill Lane, Bradford, and Hussain, of Ophelia Close, Little Horton, Bradford, all deny attempting to murder Mr Nazir.

All three have also pleaded not guilty to possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Ummar Yaqoob admits possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. Hussain has pleaded guilty to two offences of possession of a slam gun and she and Ummar Yaqoob have admitted manufacturing prohibited firearms.

Prosecutor David Gordon closed the case for the Crown this week and the jurors were sent away until late Wednesday morning by Judge Jonathan Rose while legal matters were sorted out.

The case for the defence will then get underway.

The trial continues.
