SALT Bar & Kitchen in Saltaire has introduced a new car park policy to keep spaces filled with customers only.

Parking Eye, an ANPR car park provider, is now installed into three car parks at the venue. Customers using the car park must enter their registration details on the screen inside a the bar to avoid a fixed penalty and receive free parking.

A spokesperson for Salt Bar & Kitchen said: "For three years we have had polite notices up asking non-customers not to park in our car parks, this has been ignored and we did not want to resort to this but we have been left with no other option to get a third party company to come in so that our customers and staff can park.

"Often, they had previously had to park on the road side.  Parking is completely free for all customers, please follow the instructions on the signs to enter your registration number in every time you visit.

"Ossett Brewery do not make any money from this and we certainly do not want our customers being fined and, if they have, please contact the management via email and they will help resolve this matter.

"We have also contacted the local schools and made arrangement where necessary so that parent/carers are not affected by these changes."
