KARL Robinson is planning multiple changes to his Oxford United side tomorrow – but says his team will still be capable of beating West Ham United.

The U’s host Premier League opposition in the Carabao Cup third round, with hopes of an upset raised by Saturday’s record-breaking 6-0 victory at Lincoln City.

But United’s manager plans to prioritise Saturday’s Sky Bet League One game against Gillingham, meaning tomorrow’s starting XI will look very different to the side that won at Sincil Bank.

Despite the change in personnel, Robinson feels his players will be able to test a team that sits fifth in the top division.

He said: “When people see our team tomorrow night, I don’t think they’ll be able to recognise the changes.

“That is a tremendous sign of the direction we want to go in and hopefully we can continue that moving forward.”

Robinson added: “I asked to build a squad with a two-pronged attack that could have successful cup runs.

“I’ve asked for players that on rotation you shouldn’t see much of a difference. Some may argue that the team we put on the pitch tomorrow may be better than the team that started at the weekend.”

Centre back Elliott Moore is due to be one of those coming into the starting line-up after recovering from a back spasm.

Anthony Forde, Shandon Baptiste, George Thorne, Rob Hall, Mark Sykes and Sam Long are among those who could feature.
