PLANS to turn a long empty pub on Sticker Lane into an office building have been approved by Bradford Council.
The Royal Oak, next to the Dunelm store, has been vacant for a number of years, and earlier this year Serosh Ahmed submitted plans to Bradford Council to convert the pub and hotel into offices.
Office space would be spread out over the pub’s three floors, and the application also includes parking space for 19 cars on land behind the pub.
There had been no objections to the plans.
Historic pub set to be revitalised
Bradford Council has now approved the application.
Planning officers said: “Planning decisions should help create the conditions in which businesses can invest, expand and adapt. The proposal would derive a benefit from a new business use meeting the aims of the Councils Core Strategy.”
