A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a collision involving a police car.
The man is currently in custody.
Officers were called to a crash on Cockin Lane, near to the junction with Thornton Road, at around 3:48pm yesterday afternoon.
Both a marked police car and a silver VW Golf were involved.
It was treated as an "fail to stop road traffic collision" as a man from the VW fled the scene on foot.
A male and female officer, who were in the police car, were taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries.
The collision led to increased amounts of traffic on Queensbury's roads.
A police spokesperson said: "A male has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and is currently in custody."
