POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a crash left a man in hospital in a serious condition.
The collision occurred on Sunday at around 1:40pm on Old Allen Road, at its junction with Tewitt Lane and Black Dyke Lane, near Denholme.
A silver Vauxhall Corsa and a black Vauxhall Insignia were involved.
The incident came about when the Corsa was driving along Old Allen Road, heading towards Black Dyke Lane.
Both the Corsa and Insignia were then in collision.
The Insignia was travelling from Old Allen Lane towards Tewitt Lane.
A police spokesperson said a male passenger in the Corsa was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Another male was left with minor injuries.
Any witnesses of the crash, the movements of the vehicles immediately before it, or anyone with dashcam footage should contact police on 101.
