GayHurst school appoints new Head Girl and Boy as term begins.
Pupils aged three to 11 returned to the preparatory school in Gerrard’s Cross for the new school year on September 4.
The year sixes were particularly excited to return as they found out who the Head Boy and Girl would be for the year.
The two elected pupils were Harry Dent and Georgina Tamberlin, who will be supported by their peers who are head of the academic houses and represent sport and music within the school.
Headmaster Gareth Davies said: "Gayhurst is committed to developing independence and confidence in its pupils.
“Harry and Georgina are two fantastic examples of children that shine in these areas".
Year’s three through to six will soon put forward their elected representatives for the School Council in a few weeks which will be led by Harry and Georgina.
The school ensured that the election of the Head Boy and Girl was “smooth and democratic”, commenting how “our country’s politicians could learn some lessons from Gayhurt’s boys and girls.”
