THE first photograph of teenager Stephen Tordoff – who died in a fatal crash on Wakefield Road earlier this week – has emerged.

Police have confirmed the identity of the teenager, after he was named locally on Wednesday, and officers have also revealed that a further arrest has been made in relation to the crash.

Stephen, 18, of Holme Wood, was a back seat passenger in a Renault Scenic which crashed into a Volkswagen Transporter van at the A650 Wakefield Road’s junction with Neville Road and New Hey Road.

The Transporter then collided with a Ford Transit van.

The works began in January and were completed by August.

The Major Collision Enquiry Team is continuing to make enquiries into the crash and any witnesses, or people who may have dashcam footage of the incident which may assist the investigation, are asked to contact police.
