WYCOMBE District Council deals with thousands of planning applications every year.

They range from house owners wanting to build an extension to new homes, shops, businesses and even chopping down trees.

Here are four of the best projects announced from last week - the council will now consider whether each should go ahead.

1) 74 Holmer Green Road, Hazlemere: This household have submitted plans to construct a new single storey side extension, open fronted weather porch to front elevation and the conversion and alteration to the existing garden.

The conversion will allow the former garage to be use as a garden room, including the replacement of garage door with a window.

2) 26 Newfield Road, Marlow: Another household have submitted proposals to construct a detached outbuilding on this property.

The proposals outline plans to use this detached outbuilding as a gymnasium and a study.

3) 31 Marlow Hill High Wycombe: Proposals have been submitted for this property in High Wycombe to make significant alterations.

The proposals include the raising of the roof, extensions and alterations to the roof, the construction of two storey side extension, first floor front & rear extensions, single storey rear/side extension with canopy to side, fenestration alterations, extension to existing detached garage and alterations to garage roof with a new boundary wall to side.

Finally, the proposals include alterations to entrance with associated external alterations including new gates and dropped kerb.

4) Sundawn, Chequers Lane Fingest - A householder has applied to construct a part two storey and part single storey rear extension.

The plans also include a lean-to side porch, the insertion of 2 x roof lights in existing extension roof and installation of solar panels.

5) Barn Cottage, Cryers Hill Lane - A final household has applied to build a timber balcony to first floor rear with support pillars on the ground floor.
