A MAN was stabbed and slashed at the weekend in a local woods.
The 31-year-old was injured in a disturbance on Clara Drive, Calverley in the early hours of Saturday morning.
A silver Citroen Xsara was attacked by a group of males.
The man was found by police with a stab wound to his armpit and a slash wound to the same arm.
At 3:21am officers were called to Hollin Park Road, Calverley, where the injured male was found.
The street police were called to is just under a mile away from the scene of the attack.
The victim underwent surgery in hospital and was later discharged.
Enquiries are ongoing into the incident.
A police spokesperson said: "Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact Leeds District CID via 101."
