A SWIMMING Pool will close for up to six months for “essential maintenance.”
Bradford Council has announced that work to upgrade the facilities of Bowling Pool, improving energy efficiency and reduce its running costs, will mean the facility will shut from Sunday.
Work to be carried out includes a new roof, refurbishment of the pool plant, new heating & ventilation system, major electrical work and some decoration.

A spokesman said: “This will make the facility operate much more efficiently, provide an improved customer experience and will ensure Bowling Pool will remain operational for many years to come.”
Customers will be able to use other Council facilities during the closure.
