POLICE have launched an appeal for witnesses following a crash in Bradford city centre this morning during rush hour, when a man was hit by a car.
The man was hit by a silver Hyundai i40 at around 8am in Shipley Airedale Road, close to the Gurdwara Amrit Parchar Dharmik Diwan, on the northbound carriageway.
The man was injured in the crash and taken to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment, but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening. The Hyundai stopped at the scene.
The incidents caused major delays for motorists heading to work and school this morning. The A650 is a major commuter route and the incident happened close to the major junction with Leeds Road.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact police by calling 101, quoting log number 248 of Tuesday, September 10. Information can also be passed using the live chat facility on the West Yorkshire Police website or by contacting independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
