MAJOR carriageway resurfacing is planned to take place on several roads across the Bradford district this September and October.

The Laisterdyke road closure (A6177 – from Bowling Back Lane to Leeds Road) will begin from 5am on Saturday, September 21, until 11pm the next day.

Albert Road, Queensbury – from approximately 80m west of Sand Beds to approximately 60m west of New Park Road on Brighouse and Denholme Road - will be under full road closure on Sundays.

Halifax Road, Queensbury – just north of Roper Lane to just south of Windy Bank Lane - will be under a temporary two way traffic light system and will take place on weekdays.

Smith Lane, Heaton – Daisy Hill Back Lane to Toller Lane - will be under a full road closure in two sections so that the Bradford Royal Infirmary car park is still accessible and will take place Monday to Friday.

Hollybank Road, Great Horton – Hollingwood Lane to Great Horton Road - will be under a full road closure and will take place Monday to Friday.

A council spokesperson said: “We hope these road works will be completed quickly, but road users and the public should expect some delays and disruption and are advised to seek alternative routes during this period.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused during these essential works.”

Advance signs will be set up indicating dates for the works and any road closures.
