A HOUSING development is planned on land at Dingle Farm in Appleton.
Landowner Robert Bilton has submitted an application for planning permission to Warrington Borough Council in order to build a large detached house and a row of four three-bedroom terraced house at the Dingle Lane site.
The proposal will involve the demolition of a farm shop, stables and grain store.
Dingle Farm was previously home to one of the country’s most popular tearooms.
But Dingle Farm Tea Room closed in January 2018 after six years in business, having been named in the top 20 places for afternoon tea in the UK by the Sunday Times back in 2015.
The tearoom has since been converted back into a family home.
