ORIGINAL Cockney Rebel Steve Harley is heading for King’s Hall in Ilkley.
He will take to the stage with his acoustic band on September20 for what is billed “an intimate and atmospheric show” blending subtle lyricism, improvisation and rocky rhythms. Featuring tracks from 13 of Steve’s original albums, the show includes favourites like Mr Soft, Judy Teen, Mr Raffles, Sebastian, and his timeless hit, Make Me Smile (Come Up And See Me) as well as more recent tracks from critically-acclaimed albums The Quality Of Mercy and Stranger Comes To Town. “Playing the songs in an acoustic format gives me time to enjoy every second. And we improvise, we loosen off the arrangements and explore,” he said.
