A NEW climbing wall could open in Bradford if plans are approved.

An application has been submitted to Bradford Council to transform part of a general industrial and storage building at the old Tradex site in Beckside Road.

It says: "The proposal is a start up business. It is a new business to be managed by individuals with previous working experience in the same trade.

"Initially there will be three full time and 10 part-time employees.

"The opening times of the business will be from 10am to 10pm Monday to Friday, 10am to 9pm Saturday and 10am to 8pm Sunday."

The application adds: "The proposed use is appropriate for an industrial building.

"The use represents a new business generating local employment opportunities and a facility to the district.

"It will facilitate spending within the district and prevent leakage to neighbouring districts, particularly Leeds where similar businesses operate."
