COMEDIAN Tommy Cannon is to appear in Emmerdale.
The comic, one half of long-running duo Cannon and Ball, plays a character called Derek, a regular patient of Doctor Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker). The full nature of the storyline is under wraps, but producers say it will have consequences for others. In the same week of episodes, set to air from Monday, September 16, young actor Louis Healy will appear as Danny, a role that will continue over a series of episodes for the next few months.
Louis, the son of actor and Loose Women panellist Denise Welch and actor Tim Healy, has been in TV dramas Vera and Scott and Bailey.
Danny will befriend Sarah Sugden who quickly becomes smitten with him. But is he as he seems?
