CHEMICAL firm Solenis has welcomed nine new apprentices to its manufacturing site in Bradford.
They will work in production, engineering, warehouse and business administration and bring the firm's number apprentices across its Bradford and Grimsby sites to 25.
Katie Rankin, apprentice and graduate programme lead at Solenis said: "At Solenis, we’re passionate about attracting, and developing future talent, ensuring we have the right skills in the right place at the right time.
"This year, we have seen an increase in opportunities for apprentices in different areas of the site, with our first Business Administration apprentice joining the business.”
Earlier this year, RateMyApprenticeship named Solenis the best apprentice employer in Yorkshire and Humber and the firm was placed ninth nationally.
Alice Copeman, laboratory assistant apprentice, was named Apprentice of the year at the Bradford Means Business Awards.
The Bradford site at Low Moor became part of Solenis in February, after a merger with BASF.
