Armed police have swooped on Holme Wood as the investigation into an armed robbery at a post office in Stanningley continues.
Wellstone Rise Post Office on Swinnow Lane was reportedly targeted by two masked men, armed with what appeared to be a handgun, and threatened staff before taking cash.
The crooks left the scene in a car driven by a third man.
No-one was injured but those involved were left badly shaken.
Enquiries into the incident, which took place at 8.55am yesterday (Tuesday, September 3), are ongoing.
West Yorkshire Police confirmed armed officers were in Holme Wood yesterday as part of the investigation.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact Leeds District CID via 101, quoting log number 342 of September 3.
