They include hip hop, Bollywood dance, classical Indian dance and classes for people with a physical or learning disability and their carers. Bradford’s Punjabi Roots Academy run Bhangra dancing and Dhol drumming classes, and Phoenix Dance Theatre delivers No Bounds free dance classes for boys.
There’s also chance to learn the ancient Indian language of Tamil, spoken in India and Sri Lanka, and Bradford Friendship Choir welcomes refugees and people seeking asylum.
Education and outreach officer Fay Beesley said: “It’s important for everyone to have the opportunity to participate in the arts, regardless of age or ability.”
