CANDLELIGHTERS is turning Yorkshire gold this month.
The childhood cancer charity are hoping to raise funds and awareness this September for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (CCAM) in a number of ways.
One of the fundraising efforts will be the charity's first ever large-scale drone event.
NHS Staff, patients and supporters of the Candlelighters will come together to create the shape of the CCAM gold ribbon.
The drone will capture the scene from above.
Alongside this, the charity will work with NHS staff and the Oncology and Haematology Units at Leeds Children's Hospital to plan a pirate-themed treasure hunt.
Around 150 children in Yorkshire are diagnosed with cancer each year.
Candlelighters is vital for raising funds to support these families.
