THE relatives of an elderly Bradford woman have cleared fly-tipped rubbish from her driveway for the sixth time in just over a year.

Mike and Elspeth Brady live in Luton but regularly come to Bradford to care for Mrs Brady’s elderly aunt, Betty Male, and stay at a house nearby that his wife inherited.

“We were coming up to visit North Yorkshire anyway on Tuesday and drove past Aunt Betty’s house, in Hudson Avenue, to check things were okay. There was no rubbish then, but the day after a neighbour called me to say some had been dumped overnight.

“My wife and I cleared it away. It wasn’t very nice with nappies and Stella Artios bottles and other bags we didn’t want to look in.

“I am informing environmental health to log the incident and am looking at fixing tall gates on the drive,” said Mr Brady.

“This has happened six times since March last year. If we can take it to the council tip, why can’t those who dump it? Neighbours say it is getting a lot worse around there,” he added.
