THE ’OLD girls’ of Greenhead Grammar School are holding their annual reunion buffet lunch on Wednesday October 16.

The Old Students’ Association of Greenhead Grammar School will meet at Keighley Rugby Union Football Club from noon, with lunch served at 12.45pm.

The speaker this year is Pam Spencer on the subject of “My Yorkshire”.

Anyone wishing to attend should call Kath Clegg on 01535 645176 or email cleggk@aol.com by October 5. Tickets cost £12 each.

Many of those who attend each year were educated at the Keighley Girls Grammar School before it became known as Greenhead.

The school site is now used by University Academy Keighley and Beechcliffe Special School.

The 2016 reunion was attended by two of the oldest ‘old girls’, Marjorie Jackson and Florence Roper, who began at the Utley school in 1936, just two years after it opened.
