A BRADFORD business has submitted plans to take on a large former gym unit in Keighley.

The Tru Gym on Worth Way shut last year, and the large site has been empty ever since.

Now a planning application has been submitted by the Universal Group, which has a head office based on Guy Street, Bradford, to convert the building into a warehouse with offices and meeting room space.

Business development for sports land is approved

The company provides audio visual equipment and also has branches in Manchester and Newcastle.

As well as the change of use, the application also calls for new signage, security features and a refurbishment to the 1,758 square metre building. A mezzanine floor will also be installed.

A decision on the application is expected next month.

The building is on a key town centre road in Keighley, opposite the town's Morrisons supermarket.
