GRAB a piece of the action this Bank Holiday weekend when the Charity Jigsaw Festival returns to Brighouse.

It will be held at St Martin's Parish Church from Friday to Monday, from 10am until 5pm, with an opening of 12 noon on Sunday.

Over 1,300 puzzles, comprising 1,000,000 individual pieces, have been donated by the local community with 1,000 of these jigsaws being assembled by local people, including the children and young people who visit the weekly Jigsaw Café held at St Martin’s.

The festival will feature up to 200 made-up jigsaws and up to 300 boxed jigsaws of various makes, types and sizes. As soon as an assembled puzzle is sold, another will replace it.

There'll be children's puzzles, traditional country scenes, double-sided, murder mystery, 3D, wasgij and more.

Entry will be £2, which includes a £1 discount voucher towards the purchase of a puzzle. If you retain your programme you can return as many times as you wish without paying again.

The 'Missing Piece Cafe' will be open for refreshments and there'll be crafts, a Tombola, raffle and a Golden Jigsaw Festival paying cash prizes.

Previous festivals have raised more than £66,000 for good causes.

The beneficiaries of this year's festival will be Together for Looked-After Children, Yorkshire Children's Trust, the Turning Point Counselling Service and St Martin's mission to children in the community.
