CARTWRIGHT Hall is offering designers and makers of contemporary crafts the opportunity to sell their products at an event next month.

The Council run gallery is looking for anyone who makes and sells their own products, including makers of jewellery, prints, textiles, ceramics, glass and bespoke gifts, who would like to have a stall at this event on Sunday September 8.

Makers already signed up include limited edition prints, cards, brooches by Carrie Scott Huby; freehand applied henna body art by award winning henna artist, Connie Tu; hand made sterling silver jewellery by Ruth Sutcliffe and botanically influenced 3D stained glass by Samantha Yates.

New cafe planned for Cartwright Hall Gallery in Manningham

The event marks the final day of the successful Peter Rabbit: Mischief and Mayhem exhibition which has been at the gallery since May. There is a charge of £3 for this exhibition.

Visitors can also see the work of young Bradford artists in the Young Open 2019 exhibition and also view the exhibits in the ‘We are West Yorkshire: Bradford People’ display. There will also be face-painting from local company Artifaces and the opportunity to follow the ‘Art in the Park’ sculpture trail.

Councillor Sarah Ferriby, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Healthy People and Places, said: “This is an excellent opportunity for people to display their artistic talents and showcase current contemporary trends for people to peruse and buy in all disciplines as well as a handpicked selection of unique, bespoke gifts and design. They’ll also be able to meet the artists and commission their own pieces.”
