Crashed car was set on fire in "suspicious circumstances", fire crews say
Firefighters say a crashed car was "deliberately set on fire" in Heaton last night.
The Shipley team, who got the call out at five past eight, to Wilmer Road where the car had hit a telegraph pole.
The crew, who felt it was "clear" it was suspicious, informed the police once the fire was put out.
A fire service spokesman said: "We were called by worried residents.
"It was clear that it was suspicious circumstances."
