A FUNDRAISING day held for a three-year-old girl who has been diagnosed with cancer was a “roaring success”.
The event, at the Hand and Shuttle pub in Tong, managed to raise more than £2,000 to help Keighley tot Esme Ashworth (pictured) who is battling acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.
Her aunt, Rachel McDermott, 27, said: “We managed to raise £2092.60, which is going to be an absolute relief to my sister and Esme, and make a massive difference to Esme’s cancer journey.”
A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help raise money for Esme, so she can create special memories with her family. A donation will also be made to the Candlelighters charity.
