POLICE have announced a crackdown on nuisance and anti-social bikes in the area.
Officers will be clamping down on off-road bikes ridden anti-socially in Kirklees, including areas such as Cleckheaton, Liversedge and Birstall.
This follows complaints about bikers wearing no protective equipment or riding bikes in a dangerous manner.
Inspector Graham Dyson said: “The anti-social use of off-road bikes is a nuisance to our communities, and depletes police resources from more serious crimes.
“The potential danger and life changing cost to all road users by the illegal use of these machines is immeasurable.”
Anyone who spots anti-social riders is asked to call police on 101 or visit the police website.
