A LOCAL fundraiser has delivered more than 50 presents to children in hospital as part of Eid celebrations.
Nazim Ali dropped off the gifts, donated by Saveco Cash and Carry and Ottoman Tea, Bar and Grill, at the Children’s Ward at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
It is the seventh year in a row Mr Ali, from Manningham, has given gifts to ill children at Eid.
He said: “It was a gesture of kindness and to show that members of the wider community do care and think about them, and ultimately uplift their spirits.
“The gifts are for all children in the ward irrespective of faith.”
Elaine Drake, from Bradford Hospitals Charity, added: “A big thank you to Nazim for his amazing support.
“The gifts will make a huge difference and it was wonderful to see the poorly children smiling and it brings that normality for them.
“We look forward to Nazim and his team’s continued support, and we are always looking for support.”
Gifts donated included stuffed animals, play sets, toys for younger children and children’s DVDs.
