A BRADFORD cleaning firm is celebrating a string of business wins after impressing firms with its new methods of stain removal.

Regenex, based in Royds Hall Lane, Buttershaw, has won a number of contracts with its pioneering new methods, including a fellow Bradford business.

The specialist commercial linen cleaning service offered clients free trials of its new stain removal methods, which remove the most heavily market healthcare and hospitality linens in 75 per cent of cases.

This service means more linens can be reused, reducing the amount of cotton going to waste and making the industry greener and more environmentally friendly.

One client it has won is Saif Linen, based in East Bowling, which has benefitted from a 70 per cent return rate on its dirty laundry sent to Regenex so far.

Of the 900kg of linen processed, 631kg was successfully treated to meet hotel-grade standards of cleanliness.

Regenex is currently working with Saif Linen to rescue as much of the remaining 269kg of items, by re-dyeing them to turn them into coloured items.

Ali Mohammed Arosh, owner of Saif Linen, said: “We want everything we do here to be as environmentally friendly as possible.

“Working with Regenex is helping us to make the most of every item, meaning nothing is wasted.

“Of the stained pieces we thought were only good for the bin, 70% have been brought back to life by Regenex. This is very impressive.”

As well as working with local neighbours, Regenex has won business across the whole of the UK and beyond.

It’s cleaning system gets the longest lifespan possible out of every item, avoiding the unnecessary manufacture of new items, reducing the environmental impact of the linen industry.

Paul Hamilton, technical director at Regenex, said: “Unless an item is torn or frayed, there is no need to throw away stained linen.

“In the vast majority of cases, we can remove those marks. This is huge in terms of conserving resources, and minimising waste.

“Customers don’t believe our system can work until they see it for themselves.

“That’s why we’ve been offering free 400kg trials to new customers. They’re invariably amazed by the results.

“Saif prioritises its environmental policies, and takes the need to minimise the use of resources very seriously. We are proud to be able to help Ali and his team achieve their green vision.”

It has been a whirlwind two years for Regenex founders Mr Hamilton, Matthew Whitehead and David Midgley since they came up with the business concept responding to the issue of textile waste.
