THE WEEKEND'S weather put a dampener on the first Bradford Food and Drink Festival.
The Bradford BID-backed event in City Park boasted a range of street food and drink stalls with live music entertainment and activities for children.
But rain and wind seemed to have deterred a lot of people from attending.
Traders were left to put a brave face on how it went.
A bit of sun on Sunday meant it was busier with more of the deckchairs occupied.
"People have come out to enjoy themselves," was the verdict at the Yorkshire Cider Bar.
"It's been unfortunate. We went to Clitheroe market yesterday and we only took half of what you would do."
It was a similar story at Eddie's Robotic Cocktail Bar which reported that the weather had killed most of the trade and Sunday was slower than Saturday.
The festival bar had the advantage of being under cover in a marquee which was encouraging people to stay longer and the verdict from behind the bar was that they "were doing all right".
