HIGHWAYS England has announced its summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week.

It could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

M62 junction 27 Gildersome: The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between junctions 27 and 28 until Monday, August 12, for waterproofing work on Gildersome east bridge. During the day two of the four lanes will be closed, with the other two running with a 50mph speed limit. The anticlockwise carriageway will also be fully closed between the slip roads overnight for two nights from Monday. The eastbound entry slip road will be fully closed overnight on Friday, August 16. The closures for sign work will run from 8pm to 6am and drivers can follow clearly signed diversions.

M62 junction 33 to junction 34 Whitley: The eastbound and westbound carriageways will be in narrow lanes with lane 3 closed and a 50mph speed limit until September.

M62 junction 36 to junction 37 Howden: The eastbound and westbound carriageways will be fully closed overnight on Tuesday, August 13, and then again for two nights from Saturday, August 16, for bridge work. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes. Please note the closure on Tuesday is provisional - based on weekend work.

M621 junction 3 Stourton to M1 junction 43 Rothwell: The clockwise carriageway will be fully closed overnight for four nights from Monday, August 12, for resurfacing. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M621 junction 2a Cemetery Road bridge and junction 3 Holbeck: The clockwise exit slip road at junction 2a and junction 3 will be fully closed overnight on Thursday 15 August for Yorkshire Water work. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, with clearly signed diversions in place.
