A BRADFORD-based construction firm has raised money for the Andy's Man Club charity.

HB Projects, on the Euroway Industrial Estate, set itself the challenge to cover 4,500 miles and raise £4,500 in the process in aid of the mental health awareness charity. Those who took part covered nearly 8,000 miles collectively by walking, running and cycling over six weeks.

Kal Patel, a charity champion at the firm, said: “Sincere thanks to all those that supported this challenge in any way, particularly the members of the team that ran and cycled and all those that made donations. Thanks also to the team at Richard Dunn Sport Centre for allowing us to use their gym equipment.

"We could not have achieved this fantastic result without their support."

Andrew Greenway, Project Development Officer at Andy’s Man Club, said: “As a charity we are so pleased that HB Projects have raised not only the profile of Andy’s Man Club but also the much needed funds.

"Every penny we raise goes towards helping set up centres across the country encouraging men to talk openly. We can’t thank them enough."

Andy’s Man Club was founded in Halifax by Luke Ambler after his brother-in-law Andy died by suicide in 2016.
